EZ's Tomten

I knit one of EZ's tomten coats for my niece, Reese. The pattern is found in Knitting Without Tears.

I used Schachenmayr Nomotta Princess yarn I bought on close-out from Elann many years ago. It works up to a nice terry-cloth feeling fabric, but it also snags easily.

I left off the zipper and I'm a little concerned that the sleeves look alien-like long.

Very comfy looking and I don't think that is a "girly" color. It's sophisticated; as a Shopa should be.

Sleeves can be rolled up, right? Since the fabric's a bit snaggy, maybe crochet button loops and use buttons? It really looks nice. I guess I should get that pattern out soon.

And they might not be too long. Baby's bodies are oddly proportioned, and they wave their arms around a lot. And yep, Mom can roll up the sleeves.
