I am currently working on a ribbed tank top using Elann's Endless Summer Collection Lara yarn (not currently in stock) in a peachy-pink color, Tiffany Rose. It's a mercerized cotton that has a gauge of 24-26 stitches over 4 inches on US 3-4 needles. It comes in 50 g/138 yard balls.
I think I am in love with this yarn. I admit, it was a bit splitty at first, but as soon as I got used to that, it started to shine. It doesn't burn my hands the way cotton sometimes can, it makes crisp stitches, and the color is rich.
I know I'll be ordering this yarn again.

Here is some information about doubling yarn or changing gauge and how that changes your yardage requirements, etc.
